In the first 5 chapters of John we get the no nonsense details of Jesus' early ministry.
The other gospels give us the full life story of Jesus but John starts with an affirmation of how important Jesus is and gives us the nitty gritty imformation about John the Baptist's forerunning message and his Baptising of Jesus then moves on to Jesus' first miracles of healing, the Samaritan woman at the well and the water to wine incident.
John then moves on to Jesus first confrontations with the jewish leaders and Jesus explaining His relationship with the Father.
All important stuff for us to read and re-read as encouragement and guidence towards Christian living.
