Week Commencing 20th September 2020

This week we are looking at the book of Ruth. The strong theme that comes through in this book is that kindness will be rewarded. There are many important themes in the book of Ruth. The two mainthemes are: God's providence, and the idea of a kinsman redeemer.

Ruth is an amazing story of Love, Faith and Devotion culminating in Bethlehem, Jesus birthplace. A story centred around Ruth and Boaz by the end, Boaz being an ancestor, in David's line, of Jesus.

Yet another case of "seeing Jesus" in an Old Testament situation.

A reminder of how good it is to have the whole bible to help us learn and discover the history of God's plan and workings then, and now, as we look back on His guiding in our own lives.
